RESOLUTION CELEBRATING THE BIRTHDAYS OF PASTOR RORY C. HOOD AND DR. JODI HOOD
WHEREAS, Pastor Rory C. Hood and Dr. Jodi Easterling-Hood will celebrate their birthdays with a praise celebration on January 29, 2023; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this occasion by the Honorable Stephanie D. Coleman, Alderman ofthe 16th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Rory C. Hood is the pastor and teacher at the The New St. Paul CO.G.I.C Church; a true visionary man after God's own heart and a dynamic and transformative leader, Pastor Hood is often referred to as the Church's "Modern Day Joshua"; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Hood proudly studied under and served as an armor-bearer for his late Pastor, Apostle Joseph Paul Easterling, whom he succeeded as Pastor of the New St. Paul Church of God In Christ in 2005; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Hood is married to the lovely Dr. Jodi L. Easterling-Hood, who is his best friend and most influential person in his life; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Jodi Hood is a passionate servant leader with over 20 years of experience as an administrator, counselor, and life coach; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Jodi Hood has committed her life to service and she especially loves to work with seniors, is the author of several books, including her latest, "Leadership Pros, Woes, and Foes", and has been invited to present at various conferences, including at the Illinois Principals' Conference to speak on Social Emotional Learning From the Top Down; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Rory C. Hood and Dr. Jodi Hood have been blessed with three beautiful children, Matthew, Jasmine, and Mark, and one grandson, Joshua; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this first day of February, 2023, do hereby wish Pastor Rory C. Hood and Dr. Jodi Easterling-Hood happy birthdays and wish them continued happiness, prosperity, and success in all of their future endeavors; and
