103rd YEAR BIRTHDAY RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, We the members of the Chicago City Council, wish to extend our congratulations and birthday wishes Grace Williams on her 103rd birthday celebration; and,
WHEREAS, on behalf of the entire 23rd Ward, Alderman Silvana Tabares would like to extend a personal tribute to Grace Williams on this glorious occasion as recognition for being an outstanding resident of the City of Chicago, and a resident at the Senior Suites of Midway Village; and,
WHEREAS, Grace Williams was born in Huntsville Alabama on April 7 1920 and came to Chicago when she was 30. She was a loving wife to Homus Hawk and mother to Gregory Hawk and Pheron Hawk and she later married George Williams and celebrated many happy years ;
WHEREAS, Grace Williams helped brighten so many people's lives, she was a UPS employee and worked their until she retired, and;
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council, gather here
this twenty seventh of April 19, 2023, do hereby congratulate Grace Williams on the occasion of her
birthday; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we extend our most heartfelt wishes to Grace Williams for her continued health, happiness and success following her 103rd birthday; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Grace Williams as a token of appreciation and blessed wishes.
