RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING RAYMOND ALOYSIUS GORZ ON ACHIEVING THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT
WHEREAS, On May 1, 2023, Raymond Aloysius Gorz member of BSA Troop 475 Pathway to Adventure Council earned the rank of Eagle Scout, Boy Scouts of America's highest rank; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this prestigious achievement by the Honorable Silvana Tabares, Alderman of the 23rd Ward; and
WHEREAS, Raymond started his scouting journey in second grade and continued his adventure throughout High School as well. He has demonstrated hard work and dedication not only in his pursuit of the rank of Eagle Scout, but also in his studies at John Hancock College Prep H.S. and continuing his studies at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in hopes to become a Forester; and
WHEREAS, Eagle Scouts exemplify the virtues of service, leadership, and duty to God, using their training and influence to better their communities and the world; to achieve this rank, he has completed all the requirements and has been examined by an Eagle Scout Board of Review, certifying his worthiness for Scouting's highest distinction and now joins the ranks of many successful and influential Eagle Scouts; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty fourth day of May, 2023, do hereby congratulate Raymond Aloysius Gorz on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success in all of his future endeavors; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Raymond Aloysius Gorz as a sign of our esteem, honor, and respect.
