Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Chicago:
Section 1. That the Commissioner of Buildings is hereby authorized and directed to issue a sign permit to Midwest Sign and Lighting, 4910 Wilshire Boulevard, Country Club Hills. Illinois 60478, for the erection of a sign/signboard over 24 feet in height and / or over 100 square feet (in area of one face) at the Walgreens. 757 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60611 with the dimensions, height and square foot area:

Height above grade/ roof to the top of the sign: 13'
Total Square foot area: 135 sguare feet

Notwithstanding any provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code, of the City of Chicago (the Chicago Zoning Ordinance) to the contrary, the Commissioner of Buildings is hereby directed and authorized to issue a sign permit to the address referenced within this ordinance.

Dear Mr. Theodore:
The Greater North Michigan Avenue Associations Sign and Urban Design Committee would like to thank you for presenting signage and facade improvement plans to the Committee for the Walgreen's store (757 N. Michigan Avenue) at our October 20, 2010 meeting.
The Committee supports your signage and facade improvement plans which include the installation of new signs over the Michigan and Chicago Avenue entrances to the store.
The new signs would consist of pin-mounted, halo-lit, stainless steel letters attached to under-mounted aluminum frame sign boxes (4'6"x30'- Michigan Avenue; 4'6"x14'6'-Chicago Avenue). In addition, the plans include the removal and replacement of the entryways along both street frontages as well as the removal of the northernmost bay o black granite wall panels along Michigan Avenue and replacement with full height seamless glazing. A complete interior remodeling of the store will include new light fixtures which will be shielded from view from the exterior.
The Committee is very supportive of this proposed plan and recommends that the remaining granite clad bays along the Michigan Avenue frontage of the store also be removed and replaced with full height seamless glazing. At a minimum, the Committee recommends that the existing glazing above the granite panels to remain be replaced with similar seamless glazing as beinginstalled. in the north bay.

Dear Mr. Theodore:
The Greater North Michigan Avenue Associations Sign and Urban Design Committee would like to thank you for presenting signage and facade improvement plans to the Committee for the Walgreen's store (757 N. Michigan Avenue) at our October 20, 2010 meeting.
The Committee supports your signage and facade improvement plans which include the installation of new signs over the Michigan and Chicago Avenue entrances to the store.
The new signs would consist of pin-mounted, halo-lit, stainless steel letters attached to under-mounted aluminum frame sign boxes (4'6"x30'- Michigan Avenue; 4'6"x14'6'-Chicago Avenue). In addition, the plans include the removal and replacement of the entryways along both street frontages as well as the removal of the northernmost bay o black granite wall panels along Michigan Avenue and replacement with full height seamless glazing. A complete interior remodeling of the store will include new light fixtures which will be shielded from view from the exterior.
The Committee is very supportive of this proposed plan and recommends that the remaining granite clad bays along the Michigan Avenue frontage of the store also be removed and replaced with full height seamless glazing. At a minimum, the Committee recommends that the existing glazing above the granite panels to remain be replaced with similar seamless glazing as beinginstalled. in the north bay.
