Your Committee on Buildings having had under consideration 1 proposed sign order (which was introduced directly into Committee at the Committee on Buildings meeting on September 27, 2010) pursuant to Section 14-40-120 "Aldermanic Recommendation of the Municipal Code of Chicago, begs leave to recommend that your Honorable Body "Do Not Pass" the attached Ordinance, l-27th Ward (929 N. Elston Ave.) transmitted herewith.
This recommendation was concurred by the Committee Members of the Committee on Buildings with no dissenting votes.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and take effect from and after its passage and publication.

In accordance with the Chicago Municipal Sign Code 34-40-120, it is required that signs exceeding 100 square feet in crea of one face or any roof or ground sign, structure or signboard over 24 feet in height is to be introduced to the City Council members and referred from there to the Committee of Buildings to be entered as an Ordinance.

Development Resources is proposing a single face non-illuminated banner 53"x89'-0" footage of the sign is 397 S/F. The overall height from the ground level to the top of the sign 5s 14'-<r___
As the Alderman for the 1.0th District, anti if this sign neets your approval, would you please introduce this sign to City Cou icil as well as the Committee on Buildings so that we may proceed with zoning and electrical permits?
