BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. That the Executive Director of the Mayor's office of special events is hereby authorized and directed to issue all necessary permits free of charge, not withstanding other ordinances of the City of Chicago to the contrary,

For: Burgerfest
On the premises located on W. Belmont between N. Damen and N. Leavitt
On the date and time of July 9 and July 10 from 11 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. f-U'i
All appurtenances thereto shall be used exclusively for charitable purposed and shall not be leased or otherwise used with a view to profit, and the work thereon shall be done in accordance with plans submitted and all of the appropriate provisions of the Municipal Code of the City of Chicago and departmental requirements of various departments of the City of Chicago, and said building(s) and all appurtenances thereto shall be constructed and maintained so that they shall comply in all respects with the requirements of the appropriate provisions of the Municipal Code of the City of Chicago for the issuance of all necessary permits and licenses. *
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.

Please be advised that 1 have no objection to a special event permit being issued to Special Events Management for the 2011 production of Burgerfest benefitting the Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce. This event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 9 and on Sunday, July 10 from 11 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. The festival will be held on W. Belmont between N. Damen and N. Leavitt.
1 am aware of plans that they will have vendors, amplified sound and sell beer and wine. I respectfully recommend that you issue all appropriate licenses for this event.
