Dear Alderman Smith,
We are writing to you today asking for a 15-minute standing zone in front of our restaurant. Our restaurant has been in the community for over 23 years. Although our restaurant's current location has only been open a little over a year, we have been quite successful in our transition. We do a very healthy dine-in and takeout crowd of customers who are in need of a space to leave their cars for a few minutes while they pick up their food or are dropping passengers off without the worry of receiving a ticket from the police.
