BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Chicago:
SECTION 1. That the Director of Revenue shall hereby be authorized and directed to approve and execute the removal and relocation of parking meters in an area bounded by Hastings Street on the north, 15th Street on the south, Wood Street on the west and Ashland Avenue on east, free of charge, within the Illinois Medical District.
SECTION 2. The Illinois Medical District shall not be subject to, and exempt from, charges, fees, surcharges or removal and reinstallation fees imposed by the City of Chicago for the removal and relocation of such parking meters as specified in Chapter 9-68 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, now and as hereinafter amended.
SECTION 3. The Illinois Medical District, a tax-exempt body politic and corporate of the State of Illinois.
SECTION 4. This exemption shall be applied and in force on a retroactive basis up to and including January 1, 2011 and for a period of two (2) years but in no event beyond January 1, 2013.
