ORDINANCE
(WATER/SEWER RATES) Cancel Assessments
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 11-12-540 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, the Commissioner of the Department of Water Management is hereby authorized and directed to cancel all assessments as of the effective date of this ordinance, notwithstanding other ordinances of the City of Chicago to the contrary, assessed against St. Aloysius Convent, 1526 N. Claremont, Chicago, IL 60622, PIN 17-06-100-025 - 026, Account No. 442142.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

Re: Catholic Bishop of Chicago Water and Sewer Exemptions Request
Dear Alderman Moreno:
Thank you for your prior assistance with obtaining water and sewer rate cancellations for properties in your Ward owned by the Catholic Bishop of Chicago. Per the Department of Water Management policy, a water exemption must be filed on an annual basis for the Catholic Bishop of Chicago's properties. Therefore, I request the introduction of the enclosed Ordinances at the next meeting of the City Council.
