TO THE HONORABLE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO
Ladies and Gentlemen:
At the request of the Commissioner of General Services, I transmit herewith an ordinance authorizing temporary continued lease operations.
Your favorable consideration of this ordinance will be appreciated.

ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
WHEREAS, Chapter 2-40-030 of the Municipal Code of the City of Chicago requires the Commissioner of the Department of General Services to refer to the City Council for extension leases that have expired and further provides for the temporary extension of such leases (a "Lease") for up to ninety (90) days; and
WHEREAS, The City entered into prior Leases listed in Exhibit A, such agreements have expired, and the Department of General Services requests a temporary extension of such Leases for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days after the date of the passage .and approval of this ordinance by City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Committee on Housing and Real Estate has been advised as to parties, particulars, events and justifications meriting such extensions; now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby adopted as the findings of the City Council. \ -
SECTION 2. The Commissioner of the Department of General Services (the "Commissioner") or a designee of the Commissioner are each hereby authorized to continue the City's use of property as contemplated under the Lease agreements listed in Exhibit A for a period not to exceed 90 days from the passage, approval, and publication of this ordinance by City Council and may, if necessary or appropriate, execute amendments confirming such extension period. Such continued use shall be under the same terms and conditions as the existing, expired Lease.
