ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds that the area described in Section 2 of this ordinance is adversely affected by the over-concentration of businesses licensed to sell alcoholic liquor within and near the area. ^
SECTION 2. Section 4-60-023 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by replacing subsection 4-60-023 (39.87), which was previously deleted as shown in the Journal of the Proceedings of October 8, 2008 on page 40075, with the following underscored text:
4-60-023 (39.87)      On the northeast side of North Elston Avenue, from North Kostner
Avenue to West Lawrence Avenue, and on both sides of North Elston Avenue from West Lawrence Avenue to North Kentucky Avenue.
SECTION 3. Pursuant to the requirements of Section 4-60-021 (c)(4) of the Code, this ordinance shall be in full force and effect, following passage and publication, on May 11, 2011 in the event that publication occurs before May 11, 2011. In the event that publication of this ordinance occurs after May 11, 2011, this ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication.
