CITY COUNCIL April 13, 2011

TO THE PRESIDENT AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL:

Your Committee on Special Events and Cultural Affairs having had under consideration to Issue all necessary permits, all on-site inspection fees, all plan review fees, Waive the Itinerant Merchant License Fees, Food Vendor Licenses Fees and Street Closure Fees, for the participants of "Chicago Neighbors United 1^st Annual Carnival". This event will take place in Union Park the premises known as 1501 W. Randolph; as well as 200 Washington and 100 to 150 N. Warren Blvd, starting Wednesday, May 18-20, 2011 between the hours of 5pm-10:30pm and May 21-22, 2011 between the hours of noon-10:30pm.

Direct Introduction Twenty-Seventh Ward (27)

The Committee beg leave to recommend that your Honorable Body DO PASS the proposed event which was submitted on April 6, 2011 at the Committee on Special Events and Cultural Affairs meeting.

This recommendation was concurred by all members of the Committee present, with no dissenting vote.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CHICAGO

ORDERED, The Director of the Department of Revenue is hereby authorized and advised to waive the Itinerant Merchant License Fees, Food Vendor Licenses Fees and Street Closure Fees, for the Chicago Neighbors United 1^st Annual Carnival. This event will take place in Union Park the premises known as 1501 W. Randolph; as well as 200 Washington and 100 to 150 N. Warren Blvd, starting Wednesday, May 18 - 20^th, 2011 between the hours of 5:00pm -10:30pm and May 21 - 22^nd, 2011 between the hours of Noon - 10:30pm.
