RESOLUITON HONORING FLORENCE ZIOLKOWSKI ON HER 80™ BIRTHDAY
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the Chicago City Council is hereby informed of Mrs. Florence Ziolkowski's 80th Birthday, May 12, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Her many friends and family are gathering to pay tribute to Mrs. Florence Ziolkowski, an enthusiastic, active and much-loved resident of Chicago's great 33 rd Ward community over the Memorial Day weekend at the Irish American Heritage Center on North Knox Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Florence Ziolkowski is a life long resident ofthe City of Chicago, State of Illinois and the Ravenswood Manor neighborhood. She graduated from Our Lady of Mercy grammar school, Providence High School and Mundelein College; and
WHEREAS, Florence Ziolkowski is the loving mother of nine children and grandmother of twenty-five. As a die-hard Chicago sports fan, Florence has instilled in her children and many of her grandchildren not only a deep love of Chicago, and family but also of the Chicago Cubs; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Florence Ziolkowski has spent her life caring for children and serving the community as a Girl Scout leader, member of the school PTA, and a multitude church activities. She is currently taking care of her husband who is 101 years of age, participating in the Senior Olympics and enjoys playing Scrabble. She is a vital and highly respected member of her grateful community, spreading much love and good will; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Florence Ziolkowski remains today an inspiration to all who have reached their golden years and a treasured matriarch to her grateful and loving family; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this 13th day of April, 2011, A.D., do hereby extend to Mrs. Florence Ziolkowski our best and most fervent wishes for a grand celebration worthy of the occasion of her Eightieth Birthday and in that regard do hereby proclaim that May 12, 2011, be known as "MRS.
