Reporting for your Committee on Zoning, Landmarks, and Building Standards which a meeting was held on May 26, 2011, I beg leave to recommend that YOUR HONORABLE BODY PASS the following appointments:
One transmittal, # MA-118, appointing the Honorable Rahm Emmanuel as a member of the Public Buiding commission for a term effective immediately and expiring September 30, 2011 to complete the unexpired term of the Honorable Richard M. Daley.
One transmittal, # MA-119v appointing Michael Merchant as Commissioner of the Department of Buildings.
One transmittal, #MA-120, appointing Juan Rangel as a member of the Public Building Commission for a term effective immediately and expiring September 30, 2014 to complete the unexpired term of Adela M. Cepeda.
I beg leave to pass various Ordinances transmitted herewith for the purpose of reclassifying the particular areas.
I beg leave to recommend the PASSAGE of 6 Ordinances which were corrected and amended in their amended form. They are application numbers 17249,17248,17197,17206 A-7699,and 16998.
I also beg leave to recommend the PASSAGE of one Text Amendment application number TAD-452 regarding Rooftop Commercial Farming Tables and Standards which has been corrected and amended in its amended form.
Please let the record reflect that Application number A-7696 was Withdrawn by Alderman Willie Cochran.
I beg leave to recommend approval of 18 signs, which are over 100 sq. ft. In diameter, and 24 feet above grade.
Please let the record reflect that applications for one sign at 300 W. Hill (60 Sq Ft.), and one sign at 25 E. Pearson St. were Withdrawn by the applicant.
At this time, I move for PASSAGE of this report by the last most favorable roll call vote of the Committee on Finance with the same motion to reconsider.
