MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Jean Furman, nee Muff, born on October 14, 1934, was called by God to his eternal reward on April 19, 2011; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has.been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Jean Furman, was an active and vital member of her community. The beloved wife of the late John; loving mother of the late Jaqueline (Fred) Edwards, Jill (Dennis) McKee, Jean (the late Tom) Fuller, Joan Jarmuth and John; the best grandma ever to John (Nicole) Edwards, Lindsey (the late John) Clayton, Jason (Marzena) Edwards, Tom, Samantha, Jennifer, Kate and Jimmy; the most awesome "Great" grandma to Bobby, the late Mikey, Emmy and Abby; caring sister-in-law and aunt to many, Jean Furman leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Jean Furman will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this eighteenth day of May, 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Jean Furman and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jean Furman.
