MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Robert L. McNaughton, born on August 18, 1932, was called by God to his eternal reward on May 2, 2011; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Robert L. McNaughton, Purple Heart recipient, Veteran of the War, Proud member of Plumbers L.U. 130, was an active and vital member of his community. The beloved husband of Norine (nee Graham); loving father of Michael, David CPD (Ruth), Kathleen (Patrick) Byrne. Eileen (Joseph) Byrne, John CFD (Maeve), Brian (LuAnn), Martin CPD (Shauna), Dennis (Nancy), Patricia (Patrick) McHugh, Brendan, Thomas CPD (Erin), Maureen (Alan) Haran, Edward CFD (Mary Kate) and the late Loretta; dearly cherished grandfather of 31; dear brother of Mary Pollice, James and the late David; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews, Robert L. McNaughton leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Robert L. McNaughton will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this eighteenth day of May 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Robert L. McNaughton and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert L McNaughton.
