MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Angelin Serrano, born on January 20, 1919, was called by God to her eternal reward on May 11, 2011; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Angelin Serrano, the beloved wife ofthe late Jesse Serrano, was an active and vital member of her community. The loving mother of the Richard (Hope) Serrano; cherished grandmother of James, Kaithlin (Jon) Marr, Ryan, and the late Daniel Serrano; fond great-grandmother of Kathleen Serrano, Hope and Daniel Marr; Angelin Serrano leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Angelin Serrano will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this eighteenth day of May, 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Angelin Serrano and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Angelin Serrano.
