Title: Congratulations extended to Scott Feaman on retirement from Chicago Public Schools

CONGRATULATIONS TO SCOTT FEAMAN
WHEREAS, Scott Feaman, an outstanding educator and public servant, is retiring as principal of Lakeview High School after almost four decades of dedicated service with the Chicago Public Schools; and
WHEREAS, Upon graduating from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in August of 1972, Scott Feaman began his prolific teaching career at Lindbloom High School. Shortly thereafter, he began teaching at the Chicago-Read Mental Health Center; and
WHEREAS, In 1975, Scott Feaman began his twelve year tenure at the Durso Special Education Center. While teaching at Durso, Mr. Feaman returned to the classroom, this time as a student. In 1976, he earned his Masters of Science in Education from Chicago State University; and
WHEREAS, Scott Feaman left Durso Special Education Center in 1987 to become Principal of Earle Elementary School and also pursue a law degree at John Marshall Law School's night program. In June of 1989, he earned his Juris Doctor Degree; and
WHEREAS, After seven years, Scott Feaman left his principal's position at Earle to become the principal of Lakeview High School where he implemented improvements to an institution that has been a pillar of the Lakeview community since 1873; and
WHEREAS, Scott Feaman's contributions to Lake View High School include creating a math, science, and technology academy, increasing the number of advanced placement classes, effectuating a Student-In-Good Standing program, establishing a School Spirit Day, instituting a School Spirit dress code, developing the annual Veteran's Day program, and adding a state-of-the art science lab as well as a student-based health center and a new campus park; and
WHEREAS, Scott Feaman continues to be an upstanding member of Lakeview and continues to keep strong relationships with Alderman Tom Tunney and Scott Waguespack, the Chicago Cubs, the Friends of Lakeview, the Lakeview Alumni Association, and the Graceland West Association. It's hard...
