BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. That the Commissioner of Buildings, the Commissioner of Streets and
Sanitation, the Commissioner of Transportation, the Commissioner of Water
Management, the Commissioner of Fire, the Commissioner of Business Affairs &
Consumer Protection, the Commissioner of Public Health, the Executive Director of the
Mayor's Office of Special Events, the City Comptroller, and the Executive Director of
Revenue are hereby authorized and directed to issue all necessary special event permits
and licenses, free of charge, notwithstanding other ordinances of the City of Chicago to
the contrary,

Said special event shall be held exclusively for not-for-profit arid related purposes and shall not be otherwise used with a view to profit.
SECTION 2. Norwood Park School PTA shall be entitled to a refund of City fees, which it has paid and to which it is exempt pursuant to Section One (1) of this ordinance. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

Re: Waiver of Fees - Norwood Park School's Circus Event
Dear Alderwoman O'Conner:

The Norwood Park School PTA is currently making plans for the one ring Kelly Miller Circus to be held on the grounds of the Norwood Park Grade School located at 5900 North Nina, Chicago, Illinois 60631. It is a one day event scheduled for September 25, 2011. There will be two shows that day. As part of this event a tent of 120' x 120' will be erected by the circus. The LSC and the PTA have voted to allow this fund raiser. CPS has given their approval also.
This fund raiser will help provide additional funds which will go directly into the school account and be used as voted on by the LSC.
In addition, we request that you introduce a fee waiver resolution to waive the permit fees for the tent and canopy permit, food license, special events permit, street closure permit, electrical permit and any other permit and fees related to this event.
