WHEREAS, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 2011 of the City of Chicago (the "City") contains estimates of revenues receivable as grants from agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8 of the Annual Appropriation Ordinance, the heads of various departments and agencies of the City have applied to agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies for grants to the City for various purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City through its Office of the Mayor has been awarded private grant funds in the amount of $6,000,000 by Bloomberg Philanthropies which shall be used for the Innovation Delivery Team grant program; and
WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Public Health ("Health") has been awarded additional federal carryover grant funds in the amount of $40,000 by the United States Department of Health and Human Services - Centers for Disease P...
