Title: Congratulations extended to Maureen Elizabeth Escherich on retirement from Cook County Assessor's Office

WHEREAS, Maureen Elizabeth Escherich announced her retirement from Cook County Assessor's Office as a Senior Residential Field Appraiser on March 28, 2011 after 30 years of dedicated service; and
WHEREAS, the City of Chicago has been informed of this occasion by Alderman Matthew J. O'Shea; and
WHEREAS, Maureen Elizabeth Escherich began her career with the Cook County Assessor's Office on March 2, 1981 appraising properties county-wide; and
WHEREAS, Maureen Elizabeth Escherich has given countless hours of service to the Nineteenth Ward as a Precinct Captain, Blue Cap Early Childhood Center, Blair School, Mount Greenwood Therapeutic Recreation, Elim Christian School, Saint Christina, and Misericordia; and
WHEREAS, Maureen Elizabeth Escherich has been formally recognized by the Mount Greenwood Civic Association upon earning their annual Woman ofthe Year Award in 2003; and
WHEREAS, Maureen Elizabeth Escherich was bom at Little Company of Mary Hospital on February 14, 1959 to the loving parents of Robert and Shirley McSweeney; and
WHEREAS, Maureen Elizabeth Escherich graduated from Saint John Fisher Grammar School in 1973 and Bogan High School in 1977; and
WHEREAS, Maureen Elizabeth Escherich was married to the late Arthur Escherich, March 21, 1986. The union of their marriage brought them three beautiful daughters, Maura, Katie, and Claire; and
WHEREAS, Maureen Elizabeth Escherich has been respected personally and professionally for her dedication to her family, neighborhood, and parish; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Members ofthe Chicago City Council assembled the 6th day of July, 2011 do hereby congratulate and pay tribute to Maureen Elizabeth Escherich on the occasion of her retirement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Maureen Elizabeth Escherich.
