MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Martin Pufpaf, born on December 19, 1955 , was called by God to his eternal reward on June 7, 2011 ; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Martin Pufpaf, devoted memberof the Chicago Fire Department, was an active and vital member of his community. The loving husband of Sandra (nee Nerad); beloved father of Marty, Michael and Alex; cherished son of Jeanette and the late Martin; dear brother to John (Marlene), Thomas, Richard, James, William, Michael (Lynn), Marilyn (Tim), Patricia (Marty); and brother-in-law to Nancy (Tim Fort) and Edward Nerad; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews, Martin Pufpaf leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Martin Pufpaf will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this sixth day of July 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Martin Pufpaf and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Martin Pufpaf.
