TO THE PRESIDENT AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL:
Your Committee on Special Events and Cultural Affairs having had under consideration Direct Introduction Issue all necessary special event permits and licenses, free of charge notwithstanding other ordinances of City of Chicago to the contrary to Asociacion Social del Azuay of Ecuador for Ecuador Festival Sabor a Ecuador to be held August 14, 2011 on the premises known as The Copernicus Center 5216 W. Lawrence Avenue. Forty-Fifth Ward (45)
The Committee beg leave to recommend that your Honorable Body DO PASS the proposed event which was submitted on July 5, 2011 at the Committee on Special Events and Cultural Affairs meeting.
This recommendation was concurred by all members of the Committee present, with no dissenting vote.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO
SECTION 1. That the Commissioner of Buildings. Executive Director of Construction and permits, the Commissioner of Streets and Sanitation, the Commissioner of Transportation, the Commissioner of Water management, the Commissioner of Fire, and the Director of the Department, of Revenue are hereby authorized and directed to issue all necessary special event permits and licenses, free of charge notwithstanding other ordinances of the City of Chicago to the contrary.

On the premises known as: The Copernicus Center 5216 W. Lawrence Ave.
Said special event shall be held exclusively for not-for-profit and related purposes and shall not be otherwise used with a view to profit.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
