RESOLUTION

WHEREAS. Rich Ecker has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 63 to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS. The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Nicole T. Lee. Alderwoman ofthe 11th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Beloved husband of Melanie nee Drew; loving father of Kyle; devoted son ofthe late Vernon and the late Dorothy; dear brother of Charlie (Michelle) Ecker; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; and

WHEREAS. His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Rich to his family members, friends and all who knew him. and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now. therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-first of September 2022. do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Rich Ecker and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy: and

Nicole T. Lee Alderwoman. 11th Ward

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rich Ecker.
