RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, James Sauter has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of28;and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his tragic passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, James Sauter was beloved husband of Elizabeth; and
WHEREAS, James Sauter was the cherished son of Donald and Eileen, loving brother of Michael and the dear grandson of Mary Lou Sauter; and
WHEREAS, An Illinois State Trooper since 2008, James Sauter was a dedicated and respected member of the law enforcement community; and
WHEREAS, James Sauter received the Illinois State Police Lifesaving Medal in 2009 for coming to the aid of a seriously wounded motorcycle crash victim the previous year while he was still in training; and
WHEREAS, During his few short years with the Illinois State Police, James Sauter touched the lives of countless people with his service, warmth and generosity; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of James Sauter serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared James Sauter to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, James Sauter imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this tenth day of April, 2013, do hereby commemorate James Sauter for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
BEIT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Sauter.
