MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
 
 
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that the members of this Chamber learned of the March 13, 2013 death of Ronald L. Marriott; and
 
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, Ronald Marriott was an active and vital member of his community. The beloved husband of Linda (nee Becker), loving brother of Sharon (Larry Williams), Sandra (Michael) Fletcher, and John (Gena) Marriott and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews, Ronald leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
 
WHEREAS, A longtime Chicago resident, Ronald Marriott served in the United States Army and worked for the City of Chicago, Department of Streets and Sanitation for thirty years; and
 
WHEREAS, Ronald Marriott will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
 
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this tenth day of April 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Ronald L. Marriott and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
