MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
 
 
 
WHEREAS, It was with great sadness that members of this chamber learned of the March 10, 2013 death of Joseph R. Pryst; and
 
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, The beloved husband of Katherine, nee Kepros; loving father of Audrey, Joseph J., S.F.D. (Beatrice) and Ted, C.F.D. Engine #4 (Laura); cherished grandfather of Libby, Joey and T.J.; dear brother of the late Theodore S. (the late Ruth); fond uncle of Janice, Nancy, Pamela and many other nieces and nephews; cherished brother-in-law, cousin and friend of many, Joseph Pryst leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
 
WHEREAS, Always willing to help his friends and neighbors, Joseph touched the lives of all who knew him through his kindness, his generosity, his heart, and his spirit. He belonged to many community and charitable organizations and was a member of Boy Scout Troop #969 and the Order of the Arrow; and
 
WHEREAS, Retired from Cinch Connectors after thirty-eight years, Joseph served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of St. Tarcissus Holy Name Society; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Pryst will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
 
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this tenth day of April 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Joseph R. Pryst and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
