MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Isabella Anne Mrugacz, nee D'Amico, on June 3, 2016, the age of eighty-four; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on July 20, 1931, Bella was the loving wife of the late Eugene Daniel Mrugacz; beloved mother of Suanne (Raymond) Humbert and Connie Mrugacz; precious grandmother of Marc Eugene (Kara) Lenihan, Daniel Eugene (Stacy) Lenihan and Raymond Eugene Humbert; darling great-grandmother of Eleanor Isabella and Gertrude Rose Lenihan; devoted sister of the late Angela (the late Al) Kaechele and John (the late Cookie) D'Amico; sweet aunt of the late Albert John Kaechele, the Honorable John (Christine) D'Amico, James (Dawn) D'Amico and Christopher (Dana) Kaechele and their children; and dearly treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Bella leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Bella will be remembered for her smiling face, the exceptional meals she prepared with love, her wonderful sense of humor, the thoughtful ness, kindness and grace within her that could light up any room that she walked into, she was truly an angel on earth; and
WHEREAS, An active and vital member of her community, Bella touched the lives of all who knew her through her love, her kindness, her generosity, her heart and spirit, making her a truly unforgettable person. She will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her, now, therefore.
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-second day of June, 2016, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Isabella Anne Mrugacz and express to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Isabella Anne Mrugacz as a token of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
