RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Joseph Anthony Sepulveda has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Anthony Sepulveda was a retired member of the Chicago Police Department and the loving husband for 40 years of Noreen, nee O'Connell; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Anthony Sepulveda was the much-adored father of Cheryl, Deanna, and Joan and the grandfather of eight to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Anthony Sepulveda was the dear brother of Ernie, Bob, David, Estelle, Eleanor and the late Mathew; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Anthony Sepulveda ably served for 35 years as a member of the Chicago Police Department and retired as a Sergeant; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his long and illustrious career, Joseph Anthony Sepulvada upheld the highest and most noble traditions of public service; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Anthony Sepulveda was a member of the Hamburg Club in Bridgeport and a lifelong Chicago White Sox fan; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Joseph Anthony Sepulveda serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Joseph Anthony Sepulveda to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, Joseph Anthony Sepulveda was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Joseph Anthony Sepulveda imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-third day of January, 2019, do hereby commemorate Joseph Anthony Sepulveda for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joseph Anthony Sepulveda.
