WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Born on January 22, 1919 in Montreal, Wisconsin, Agnes was the beloved daughter of Anton and Antoinette (Dobrowksi) Dedo and eldest sister of Irene Guznik and Sigismund Dedo. She married the love of her life, Donald, her husband of 70 wonderful years, and they were blessed with two daughters, Donna Wolff and Marian. Cherished and doting grandmother of Heather (Bill) Griffin and Chris Wolff; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her, Agnes leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and

WHEREAS, Agnes had a zest for life and passion for Polka music which she shared with her many friends who love to dance. Agnes had a welcoming smile and a sense of humor that allowed her to easily engage in conversations with both total strangers and old friends alike; and

WHEREAS, Agnes started her career working for Zenith Radio. She found her most fulfilling work in the area of hospitality and was employed for many years at the Canteen Corporation serving at WGN radio and WGN-TV in Chicago. Agnes loved planning events for the Chicago Cubs as well as hosting dinners for the team players; and
