RESOLUTION

 

 

WHEREAS, Bradley Scott Saul has gone to his eternal reward at the age of 55; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

 

WHEREAS, A resident of the Lake View community, Bradley Scott Saul was a widely admired Chicago entrepreneur and the loving husband of Debbie, nee Hirsch; and

 

WHEREAS, Bradley Scott Saul was the much-adored father of Gabrielle, Griffen and Brennan to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and

 

WHEREAS, Bradley Scott Saul was the dear brother of Eric and Jason; and

 

WHEREAS, Raised in Lincolnwood and Highland Park, Bradley Scott Saul earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Northwestern University in radio, television and film; and

 

WHEREAS, While attending college, Bradley Scott Saul served as an intern for WBBM-AM and became the General Manager for two small radio stations, WEEF-AM and WONX-AM; and

 

WHEREAS, Bradley Scott Saul graduated from Loyola University School of Law and continued to focus his creative talents on forming new entities that combined media and new technology; and

 

WHEREAS, Bradley Scott Saul formed Public Interest Affiliates, a multi-faceted company that produced low-cost public service programming for radio stations nationwide and sold in-flight audio commercials and programming to major airlines; and

 

WHEREAS, In 1989 Bradley Scott Saul launched the National Basketball Association's first radio network; and

 

WHEREAS, Bradley Scott Saul also worked with Yellow Cab to establish Chicago Disability Transit which provides accessible transportation to the disabled and launched a not-for-profit organization to recruit, train and place people with disabilities in jobs at radio stations; and

 

 

WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Bradley Scott Saul serve as an example to all; and

 

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Bradley Scott Saul to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

 

WHEREAS, Bradley Scott Saul will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and

 

WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Bradley Scott Saul imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this thirteenth day of January, 2016, do hereby commemorate Bradley Scott Saul for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bradley Scott Saul.
