RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Honorable Kerry Brunette has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of sixty-two; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Kerry Brunette was a widely admired suburban elected official and the loving husband of the late Martha; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Kerry Brunette was the much adored father of Meghan Rogers to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Kerry Brunette served since 1993 as the Clerk of the Village of LaGrange Park; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Kerry Brunette had lived in LaGrange Park for more than three decades and retired in 2010 as an insurance specialist for the Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corporation; and
WHEREAS, A true gentleman known for infectious smile and upbeat sense of humor, the Honorable Kerry Brunette was always willing to help others; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Kerry Brunette was an active member of the Lions Club and served as an usher at St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of the Honorable Kerry Brunette serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared the Honorable Kerry Brunette to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Kerry Brunette was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
 
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Honorable Kerry Brunette imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this fourth day of May, 2011, do hereby commemorate the Honorable Kerry Brunette for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of the Honorable Kerry Brunette.
