RESOLUTION

 

 

WHEREAS, David M. Zerante has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 64; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

 

WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Chicago Heights, David M. Zerante was a widely admired member of the legal community and the loving husband for 40 years of Karen, nee Schnorenberg; and

 

WHEREAS, David M. Zerante was the much-adored father of Benjamin, Andrew, Nora and Paula to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and

 

WHEREAS, David M. Zerante was the beloved son of the late Rose and James and the dear brother of Vincent, Marianne and Patricia; and

 

WHEREAS, David M. Zerante attended the Minneapolis School of Art & Design and Loras College; and

 

WHEREAS, David M. Zerante earned his Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School before beginning his career as an attorney at Serpico, Novelli, Dvorak 85 Navigato; and

 

WHEREAS, David M. Zerante later worked as a Partner at the firm of McCormick & Zerante before opening his own private practice in Chicago Heights; and

 

WHEREAS, In addition to his private practice, David M. Zerante served as Township Attorney for Bloom Township and Prosecutor for the Villages of South Chicago Heights and Glenwood; and

 

WHEREAS, David M. Zerante was a Trustee for the Thorn Creek Sanitary District and member of the Chicago Heights Planning Commission; and

 

WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of David M. Zerante serve as an example to all; and \

 

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared David M. Zerante to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

 

WHEREAS, David M. Zerante was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and

 

 

WHEREAS, To his beloved family, David M. Zerante imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this thirty-first day of October, 2018, do hereby commemorate David M. Zerante for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
