RESOLUTION

 

 

WHEREAS, Thomas H. Quinn has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 68; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

 

WHEREAS, A resident of Lake Forest, Thomas H. Quinn was a widely admired member of the business community and the loving husband for 43 years of Diane; and

 

WHEREAS, Thomas H. Quinn was the much-adored father of Katie, Tommy and the late Molly and the grandfather of six to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and

 

WHEREAS, Born in Los Angeles, California, Thomas H. Quinn attended the University of Notre Dame where he was a stand-out member of its undefeated 1966 football team; and

 

WHEREAS, Thomas H. Quinn went on to enjoy a long and highly successful career with Evanston-based American Hospital Supply and was a co-founder of a Deerfield-based private equity firm; and

 

WHEREAS, In addition to his many professional achievements, Thomas H. Quinn was actively involved in a number of philanthropic efforts and was a generous supporter of Misericordia Home; and

 

WHEREAS, Thomas H. Quinn served on the boards of Highland Park Hospital and NorthShore University HealthSystem; and

 

WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Thomas H. Quinn serve as an example to all; and

 

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Thomas H. Quinn

to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

 

WHEREAS, Thomas H. Quinn was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and

 

WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Thomas H. Quinn imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-second day of June, 2016, do hereby commemorate Thomas H. Quinn for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas H. Quinn.
