Resolution Congratulating John Zefran on Retirement
WHEREAS, on June 30, 2022 John Zefran retires after twenty-six years of service to the City of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Marty Quirin, Alderman of the 13th Ward, has apprised this august body of this occasion; and
WHEREAS, John started with the City of Chicago Department of Streets & Sanitation in January of 1997. He has dutifully worked his way through several bureaus of the department. Since 2013, he has directed the City Cart Program. On June 30, 2022 he retires as the General Superintendent of Streets and Sanitation; and
WHEREAS, John is looking forward to spending time with his wife Melissa of twenty-two years and his children, Hope, John and Vincent; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor of the City of Chicago and members of the City Council, gathered on this twenty-second day of June, 2022, extend our sincerest thanks to John Zefran for his hard work and dedication to the Department of Streets and Sanitation and to the residents ofthe City of Chicago. We wish him joy and continued success in his retirement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to John Zefran.
