RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 76; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert was a community leader and widely recognized media personality in the Polish-American community in Chicago; and
WHEREAS, T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert was the devoted son of the late Leona "Lee" Jasinski Herbert and the late Thomas H. Herbert; and
WHEREAS, T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert earned his undergraduate and law degrees from DePaul University; and
WHEREAS, Along with his mother, T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert founded the Heritage Club of Polish Americans and added her maiden name to his surname to underscore his Polish roots; and
WHEREAS, As the President of the Polinia Media Network, T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert was the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the Polonia Today news magazine and the host of the popular Polonia Today television show; and
WHEREAS, T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert ably served in leadership roles in dozens of Polish-American organizations throughout Chicagoland, including the Polish National Alliance and the Polish American Congress; and
WHEREAS, Later in life, T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert traveled to polka festivals and events where he was revered as an advocate for the Polish-American community and a trusted mentor to many; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, T. Ron Jasinski-Herbert was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
