RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Honorable Joanne M. Ring has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of sixty-nine; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Blue Island, the Honorable Joanne M. Ring was the loving and devoted wife of the late James J. Ring, Sr.; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Joanne M. Ring was the much-adored mother of James Jr., Steven, Patrick and Anne Marie and the grandmother of three to whom she imparted many of the fine and noble qualities which she possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, A devoted aide to Democratic State Representative Robert Rita, the Honorable Joanne M. Ring was committed to the needs of the community; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Joanne M. Ring ably served as a member of the Blue Island Park District Board of Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Joanne M. Ring inspired the lives of countless people through her great personal goodness, charity and concern; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of the Honorable Joanne M. Ring serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, A woman of dignity, grace and charm, the Honorable Joanne M. Ring will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives, friends, and colleagues; and
WHEREAS, To her beloved family, the Honorable Joanne M. Ring imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
 
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this thirteenth day of April, 2011, do hereby commemorate the Honorable Joanne M. Ring for her grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to her family; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of the Honorable Joanne M. Ring.
