RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, The Honorable Raymond Myles.has gone to his eternal reward; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

 

WHEREAS, The Honorable Raymond Myles ably served as an Associate Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County; and

 

WHEREAS, The Honorable Raymond Myles was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court in 1999 to fill a vacancy on the court; and

 

WHEREAS, The Honorable Raymond Myles became an Associate Judge in 2001; and

 

WHEREAS, The Honorable Raymond Myles graduated from the University of Illinois where he also earned his master's degree in business administration and his law degree; and

 

WHEREAS, The Honorable Raymond Myles' professional career included work as an administrative hearing officer for the Chicago Department of Buildings, an assistant Cook County State's Attorney, and a general and criminal law attorney for the Crossroads Law Center; and

 

WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of the Honorable Raymond Myles serve as an example to all; and

 

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared the Honorable Raymond Myles to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

 

WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Honorable Raymond Myles imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this nineteenth day of April, 2017, do hereby commemorate the Honorable Raymond Myles for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of the Honorable Raymond Myles.
