RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, H. David Fry has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 77; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Chatham, Illinois, H. David Fry was the loving husband of Adrienne; and
WHEREAS, H. David Fry was the much-adored father of Kim, Karen, Katie and David, the grandfather of eleven and the great-grandfather of one to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, H. David Fry worked for thirty-five years as an administrator with the Illinois High School Association; and
WHEREAS, H. David Fry served for as the organization's Executive Director from 1991 until his retirement in 2002; and
WHEREAS, H. David Fry also worked on numerous committees and special projects for the National Federation of High School Associations over the course of his career and was the President of that organization in 1995-96; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of H. David Fry serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared H. David Fry to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, H. David Fry imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this eighth day of November, 2017, do hereby commemorate H. David Fry Xxx for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
