RESOLUTION

 

 

WHEREAS, Jose "Lupe" Ramirez has gone to his eternal reward at the age of 50; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

 

WHEREAS, A resident of the East Side, Jose "Lupe" Ramirez was a widely admired member of the law enforcement community and the loving husband of Jennifer; and

 

WHEREAS, Jose "Lupe" Ramirez was the devoted son of the late Guadalupe and Beverly; and

 

WHEREAS, Jose "Lupe" Ramirez was the dear brother of Roseanna, Daniel, Grant, Brian, Maryln and Maria; and

 

WHEREAS, Jose "Lupe" Ramirez ably served for 29 years as a member of the Chicago Police Department and was the Commander of the 17th Police District; and

 

WHEREAS, Known for his faithfulness to the highest ideals of public service, Jose "Lupe" Ramirez was a proud recipient of the William Powers Leadership Award; and

 

WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Jose "Lupe" Ramirez serve as an example to all; and

 

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Jose "Lupe" Ramirez to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

 

WHEREAS, Jose "Lupe" Ramirez was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and

 

WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Jose "Lupe" Ramirez imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this eighteenth day of November 2015, do hereby commemorate Jose "Lupe" Ramirez for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jose "Lupe" Ramirez.
