MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR VIRGINIA T. WALTHER
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Virginia T. Walther, on February 25, 2017; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on August 20, 1926, Virginia was the beloved wife of the late John F. Walther; loving mother of Jacky (Robert Kielian); cherished grandmother of Ann and Teresa Kielian; dear sister of Mary E. (the late Joseph E. Sr.) O'Donnell, (the late) Richard J. Saigh Sr. and (the late) Philip A. Saigh Sr.; fond sister-in-law of Mary Lu Saigh and Mary Therese Saigh; devoted aunt of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Virginia leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Virginia touched the lives of all who knew her through her kindness, generosity and vivacious spirit. She will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and member of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-ninth day of March, 2017, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Virginia T. Walther and express to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
