CONGRA TULA TIONS EXTENDED TO LINDA AND KEVIN RYAN ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR MARRIAGE
WHEREAS, it is with great pleasure that the City Council of the City of Chicago is hereby informed of the marriage of Linda Smith and Kevin Ryan on August 25, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Chicago City Council has been informed of this joyous occasion by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, there is a hint of destiny in Linda and Ryan's love story. Their respective parents, Margie and Ed Kallenback and Rita and Don Ryan, were dear friends, so Linda and Kevin first met as infants. They lost contact for decades and then reconnected and became good friends. Their friendship eventually blossomed into romance and the rest they say, is history; and
WHEREAS, at their warm and intimate wedding, held at the Sky-Line Club in Chicago, in the presence of family and friends who deeply love them, Linda and Ryan vowed their love to one another and made the promise to always be each other's favorite person; and
WHEREAS, the institution of marriage is one of the cornerstones upon which our society is built and the observance of Linda and Kevin's love and unity is indeed a cause for great celebration; and
WHEREAS, Linda and Kevin's devotion to one another embodies the sanctity of their vows and is a union to be greatly admired; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this thirteenth day of March 2019, do hereby extend our heartiest congratulations to Linda and Kevin upon the occasion of their marriage, and join with their many friends and family members in wishing them many more years of happiness together; and
