RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Honorable Thomas A. Tincher has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 84; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Lake Bluff, the Honorable Thomas A. Tincher was the loving husband for 63 years of Ethel; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Thomas A. Tincher was the much-adored father of five children and the grandfather of four to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Thomas A. Tincher worked for the Chicago Tribune for more than 40 years in the classified and marketing departments; and
WHEREAS, As a volunteer for LFTV Channel 19, the Honorable Thomas A. Tincher produced and hosted dozens of "Meet Your Business Neighbor" programs; and
WHEREAS, An active member of his community, the Honorable Thomas A. Tincher served as both a Lake Bluff Village Clerk and Trustee; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Thomas A. Tincher was also a Lake Bluff History Board Member and a Rotary and American Legion Post 510 member; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Thomas A. Tincher graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston and served his country in the United States Army; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of the Honorable Thomas A. Tincher serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared the Honorable Thomas A. Tincher to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Honorable Thomas A. Tincher imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-eighth day of June, 2017, do hereby commemorate the Honorable Thomas A. Tincher for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condol...
