MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR FRANK A. BRIODY
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that the members of this Chamber learned of the death of Frank A. Briody at the age of 80; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Frank was the beloved husband of Ann, nee Reetz; loving father of Frank W. (Erin), Kathryn (Michael) Dieperink, John (Kristin), Greg (Ashley), Mary (Aaron) Ory, and Bridget (Michael) Young; cherished grandfather of Rita, Molly, Nora, Emily, Lauren, Declan, Logan, Colleen, Evelyn, Owen, Benjamin, and Colin; dear brother of Louis J. Briody and the late George, William and Duckie; and
WHEREAS, A man of deep faith, Frank was a devoted member of Queen of All Saints Parish in Chicago's Sauganash Community for 50 years. Frank was vital mainstay of his Sauganash neighborhood, making many lasting contributions in the lives of local families and children; and
WHEREAS, Frank touched the lives of all who knew him through his laughter, great sense of humor, and sweet fun loving spirit. He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this sixteenth day of November, 2016, do hereby extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Frank A. Briody.; and
