RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Margaret Eileen Hogan has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 55; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Glenview, Margaret Eileen Hogan was the loving wife of the Honorable Michael J.; and
WHEREAS, Born in Chicago on June 1, 1959, the daughter of James and Joan Troka, nee Strickland; and
WHEREAS, Margaret Eileen Hogan was the much-adored mother of Mick, and Bridget Ieronimo, the step-mother of Michael J. Jr., Timothy and Molly and the grandmother of one; and
WHEREAS, Margaret Eileen Hogan was the dear sister of Beth, Catherine and the late James D.; and
WHEREAS, Margaret Eileen Hogan created the foundation for Nager and Miller Syndromes to support and connect families affected with these rare conditions; and
WHEREAS, Margaret Eileen Hogan was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Glenview; and
WHEREAS, A woman of dignity, grace and charm, Margaret Eileen Hogan will be remembered for her compassion toward others and generous spirit; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Margaret Eileen Hogan serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Margaret Eileen Hogan to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, Margaret Eileen Hogan will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To her beloved family, Margaret Eileen Hogan imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this seventeenth day of June, 2015, do hereby commemorate Margaret Eileen Hogan for her grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to her family; and
