RESOLUTION
 
 
WHEREAS, Sister Kab Kyoung Kim has gone to her eternal reward at the age of 48; and
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
 
WHEREAS, A native of Seoul, South Korea, Sister Kab Kyoung Kim was a much-beloved member of the Korean Province of the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary; and
 
WHEREAS, Sister Kab Kyoung Kim served for more than two years in the American Province where she was pursuing her studies and faithfully served in hospital ministry at Little Company of Mary Hospital and Medical Center in Evergreen Park; and
 
WHEREAS, Known as Sister Anna Kim, Sister Kab Kyoung Kim was especially involved in the children's support group entitled "the Heart Connection" and worked with bereavement programs at the hospital; and
 
WHEREAS, Sister Kab Kyoung Kim was artistically inclined and inspired others with her gentle personality, warmth and dynamic smile; and
 
WHEREAS, The holiness, sacrifice and dedication of Sister Kab Kyoung Kim serve as an example to all; and
 
WHEREAS, Sister Kab Kyoung Kim will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives, friends and admirers; and
 
WHEREAS, To her beloved family, Sister Kab Kyoung Kim imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
 
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this fifth day of November, 2014, do hereby commemorate Sister Kab Kyoung Kim for her grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to her family; and
 
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sister Kab Kyoung Kim.
