SUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE

WHEREAS, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 2015 of the City of Chicago (the "City") contains estimates of revenues receivable as grants from agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies; and

• WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8 of the Annual Appropriation Ordinance, the heads of various departments and agencies of the City have applied to agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies for grants to the City for various purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Public Health ("Health") has received additional federal carryover grant funds in the amount of $215,000 by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention which shall be used for the Bioterrorism Hospital Preparedness Project; and

WHEREAS, the City through Health has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $125,000 by United States Department of Health and Human Services, Assistant Secretary for Preparedness & Response which shall be used for the Ebola Healthcare Preparedness Project: and

WHEREAS, the City through its Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities ("MOPD"), has been awarded private grant funds in the amount of $5,000 by the Chicago Community Foundation which shall be used for the MOPD Special Initiative Support; and

WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Planning and Development has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $17,000 by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency which shall be used for the Chicago Historic Industrial Development Project; and

WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Transportation ("CDOT") has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $124,000 by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency which shall be used for the Hazard Mitigation Project; and
