RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Robert E. Juliano, celebrates another year of life at 80 years old; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his birthday by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

WHEREAS, Robert was born May 20,1941 to Emil and Mary Salvaria Juliano in Chicago, Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Robert attended Our Lady of the Angels and served mass for the great Monsignor Jack Egan; and

WHEREAS, He also attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory and eventually attended Loyola University in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Robert Joined the management staff at the Chicago Palmer House Hotel, Pick Congress and Pick Hotels, and became one of the personnel managers and a point of contact with HERE Local 1; and

WHEREAS, On May 1,1973 began his career as a legislative representative in Washington, D.C. for the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union; and

WHEREAS, On February 1,1981 formed Robert Juliano and Associates consulting firm in Washington, D.C. and served as its Chairman Amex and Nascar; and

WHEREAS, In 1994, Robert was a special guest of Ambassador Pamela Harriman at the July Fourth Celebration at the U.S. Embassy in Paris; and

WHEREAS, On November 21,1996 Robert served as one of the pall bearers at the funeral of the late and beloved Cardinal Bernardin, who called Robert his lobbyist; and

WHEREAS, On May 7,1998 Robert was among one of the special guests at the White House for dinner to Welcome and Honor Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi; and

WHEREAS, In 2006, Robert was selected as the Honoree of the Sons of Italy Foundation; and

WHEREAS, Even though he has worked with great leaders over the years such as Speaker Tip O'Neill, Senator Ted Kennedy, Congressman Rostenkowski and remains a friend of President Joe Biden now, he is always just "Bobby from Taylor Street, Chicago"; and

WHEREAS, He brings honor to his family and to his roots here in Chicago and particularly to his Taylor Street Community as he has dedicated his life to working...
