RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Denise Murray has gone to her eternal reward at the age of 64; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

WHEREAS, A resident of the Beverly community, Denise Murray, nee Baffoe, was the loving and devoted wife for 41 years of Steve; and

WHEREAS, Denise Murray the much-adored mother of Connor (U.S.A.F), Margey and Brydie and the much-adored grandmother of five; and

WHEREAS, Denise Murray was the dear sister of Donna, Michaelene, Marybeth, Eugene, Daniel, Joseph, Duke, Matthew and the late Ed; and

WHEREAS, Denise Murray was the "Grandma Neecy" of Audri, Ava, Mae Mae, Molly, and Johnny who were the light of her life; and

WHEREAS, Known for her kindness, thoughtfulness toward others and sense of style, Denise Murray made her home a place of warmth and welcome for all who entered it; and

WHEREAS, From an early age, Denise Murray demonstrated a creative gift as both an artist and designer which she shared with all whose lives she touched; and

WHEREAS, Denise Murray participated in many art shows over the years which showcased her unique talent; and

WHEREAS, Denise Murray was a longtime and faithful member of Christ the King Parish in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Denise Murray to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

WHEREAS, A woman of dignity, grace and charm, Denise Murray will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives, friends and admirers; and

WHEREAS, To her beloved family, Denise Murray imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this sixth day of May, 2015, do hereby commemorate Denise Murray for her grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to her family; and
