MEMORIAL RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Roy J. Carvatta to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Roy Carvatta, beloved husband of Dorothy, was an active and vital member of his community. The loving father of Donita (Brian) Bozek, Debbie and Roy Jr. (Stacey) Carvatta; cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Roy III (Katie), Christina, Joey, Ana, Michael and Nina; greatgrandfather of Daniela, Roy Carvatta leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and

WHEREAS, Roy Carvatta will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this thirteenth day of April, 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Roy Carvatta and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Roy Carvatta
